The students conceptualize the ideas and build their own materials .This has a large scope of creating special materials to be produced for innovative designs. Required skills set include deep understanding of innovative fibers like coolmax, cool wool, Tyvek, tactel et. from Dupont companies, their functionality, enhancement properties for fabric development & end product for mountaineering, ski clothing , deep diving and swim wear etc.. designing skills is vital for success in this field of operation. Smart (tech-based) textiles research and development is increasingly driving innovation across various industries in automobile manufacturing, medical supplies manufacturing and sports apparel manufacturing.
