Sharad Mehra is President, Creative Arts Education Society and heads Executive Leadership team at Pearl Academy - India’s largest private institution for design, fashion, business and media. He has an extensive industry experience of almost two decades in the apparel, garments and fashion domains. As the President, Sharad is in charge to spearhead the overall academic operations and growth of the institution. His expertise ranges from product launches, product and market development, set-up and management of business operations, strategic alliances, revenue and profit generation, business expansion and growth.
Prior to Pearl Academy, Sharad was associated with well-known industry names such as Technopak Advisors (P) Ltd., Arvind Limited, among others. Associated with Arvind Limited for seven years, Sharad played a significant role as the Chief Operating Officer for the organization’s Knits Garment Business Division.
His years of executive experience in the fashion and apparel industry were critical in developing the leadership and management skills that helped him venture into the field of higher education. These experiences allowed him to formulate an out of the box solution mentality and drive large-scale change management.
An MBA in International Business (Faculty of Management Studies, BHU), Sharad was conferred with 'Young Achiever Award for Professional Excellence' by Banaras Hindu University for his contribution to the apparel and education domains.
Sharad is a certified Professional Executive Leadership Coach, has attended various focus group seminars and addressed several conferences and workshops as a Speaker / Panel Expert. An avid reader with a personal collection of over 1000 books, he has authored several published articles. Besides a keen interest in sports and writing, Sharad also enjoys cooking.
