An alumnus of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, Smita has been the director for Mirandola Designs, a brand of couture clutches and fashion accessories that has been exhibited in Premier Class, Paris and has markets in Europe and Asia. She was Head, Business Operations for India, with exclusive franchisee rights in India for Hong Kong-based brand of couture clutches and fashion accessories Annika Rucci. Previously, she has worked with companies like Rajka Designs, Arvind Brands, Portico Pvt Ltd and has done extensive work in crafts all over the country.
