Urmimala is a graduate from Gauhati College of Accounts Major. She pursued her Chartered Accountancy from ICAI, but dropped out after Inter to follow my passion for creative pursuits.

She acquired an Interior Designing Diploma from Jenson and Nicholson, New Delhi, and later IED, Milan in Spatial and Interior Design.

She has been involved in various residential and retail projects in Delhi and NCR. She has also been working as visiting faculty for institutes like J.D. Institute, IIFT, AAFT, etc.
Apart from being a successful professional, she has conducted many workshops related to interior spaces globally.
