Kiran T. Balan

Kiran.t Balan's passion for design is rooted within his love for all things handmade. The designer specializes in textile, visual design, and craft revival. With a keen eye for craftsmanship, he pursues art and creativity with the zeal of a perfectionist.

Kiran holds a degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Crafts & Design in Jaipur. Prior to joining Pearl Academy, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Kerala State Institute of Design in Kollam, Kerala.

Hailing from Kerala, Kiran has worked as a textile designer with leading firms such as the M.Rm.Rm. Cultural Foundation, The Crafts Council of India, as a graphics designer for Wedding Wishlist and as a product designer for textile brand Kanakavalli. He has also worked on craft documentation for the All India Artisans and Craftworkers Welfare Association (AIACA).
