Industry Visit to Bungalow 8

Our Fashion Styling students of Pearlacademymumbai were thrilled to attend a masterclass conducted by Ms. Maithili Ahluwalia-CEO and Creative Director, Bungalow 8. In 2003, when Maithili Ahluwalia launched Bungalow 8 from a little corner of her art deco family bungalow, she took the city by surprise with her original perspective on fashion and lifestyle. Since then, this Swarthmore and LSE graduate, has been pushing the boundaries of fashion retail with her repertoire of rare voices and her unconventional take on tradition and modernity. The best takeaway for the students was to learn to be unique, unconventional and have a Point of View that needs to be presented in manner where it relates to the time.
