Vijendra Bhardwaj
Fashion and creative director

Vijendra Bhardwaj is a prominent fashion director and the visionary behind some of the most iconic editorial imagery in the country. He is also called upon as one of India’s foremost menswear style arbiters.

He has formerly been the fashion director of GQ (Indian Edition), wherein he headed the fashion department, rendering his creative vision and menswear expertise, inspiring new editorial ideas, directing countless fashion shoots rooted in powerful visual narratives, memorable celebrity features, and covers, styling menswear shows and more for over eight years.

Prior to that, he spearheaded a new movement in the fashion editorial space as the style editor of the erstwhile M magazine — a publication that garnered immediate attention for its alternative vision and compelling imagery — developing a cult following during his six-year tenure there.

An alumnus of NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology), for nearly two decades, Vijendra has curated, consulted, and collaborated with an enormous number of Indian and global fashion brands.

He has worked with numerous established and emerging photographers, and has styled and presented a barrage of actors, sportsmen, models and personalities — Ranveer singh, Virat Kohli, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Shahrukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Jeff Bezos, Rupert Everett, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Kangana Ranaut, and Ayushmann — to name just a few, in some of their finest realizations.

His work often looks at fashion with profundity, highlighting a poetic thought process that’s focused yet without any hard edges.

His areas of interest include fashion, film, performance, art, design, culture, spiritual sciences, and ancient wisdom.

He loves wearing many hats and is noted for his style, both personal, and directorial.
