Jaishri Jethwaney
Professor and Program Director - Institute for Studies in Industrial Development

With an MA in Political Science from Delhi University and a Phd from School of International Studies , Jawaharlal Nehru University, Dr. Jaishri is currently with Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID) in its Media and Communications Division. She is also working as Project Lead for a UNESCO project covering nine countries in South Asia.

She has an industry experience in brand and corporate communication for over a decade. She has worked on numerous projects for UNESCO, WHO, ESIC et al. Dr. Jethwaney also has to her credit many books like - Social Sector Communication In India: Concepts, practice and case studies SAGE (2016), Public Relations Management, Jaishri Jethwaney & NN Sarkar, 3rd edition 2015, Sterling Publishers, New Delhi, India and many more.

Apart from contributing vital chapters to many other publications like India Connected- Mapping the impact on New Media, Issues in Mass communications, Children and Media: Issues and Concerns etc., Dr. Jaishri has also been a research contributor to Terrorist attack on the USA - a perception mapping study and media content analysis (IIMC 2001), Media influence on the Mahakumbh visitors (IIMC 2001), international group of academics for Asia Pacific Communication Monitor 2015, Deconstruction and analysis of Bharat Nirman campaign for GOI, 2014 and many more. She also has been awarded with Sahyog- Sahyadari award on leadership in mass communication teaching, 2014, Best Professor award by World Education Congress, 2013 and Leadership award in PR academics from the PRSI- 2010.
