Amala Chettiar has over 22 years of experience as a professional pattern drafter and sample maker. He has worked with the biggest names in the export sector, including Pyramid Mega Store, Raymond, the Creative Garments & Export Syndicate, and many more. He has accumulated eight years of experience as a teacher.

He has trained under the likes of Shero Cooper, a seamstress from Bombay who has passed down her internationally acclaimed fashion and design methodology to her students. He also enjoys draping and has been taught the finer nuances of this art by the maestro of draping, James Ferreira.
