Wajahat Rather
Associate Professor- Textile Design, School of Fashion

Wajahat has experience of nearly a decade in the academic domain and he has contributed to building grounds for a successful career of hundreds of design students. His innovative style of teaching has made a lot of effective impact on his students. He is an alumnus of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, and a gold medalist in Fine Arts.

He has taught at the Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology before he took a place in the Institute of Design, State University of Performing & Visual Arts as one of the founder faculty. Apart from being an educator, he has also been active as a freelancer. He has showcased his work nationally and internationally.
He has also designed logos and created murals for many state governments. His professional motto involves 3Ds i.e. discover, define and develop which make budding designers ‘think’.
