Mohit Soni
Chief Operating Officer - Media & Entertainment Skills Council

Mr. Soni is a highly driven, entrepreneurial self-starter with more than 18 years of proven expertise in developing new business ventures and building start-Ups. He is presently the Chief Operating Officer of Media and Entertainment Skills Council (Promoted by FICCI and NSDC) which came into existence in May 2013 and operates as a skilling arm to Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.

His major business interest areas include Strategic Planning and expertise in establishing channel network, developing unique business models and setting up partnership with International Academic Institutes/Universities and various state skill missions.

With a profound experience of spearheading the dynamic Education Industry, he has been instrumental in setting up some of the most prominent brands in the education sector including Spectrum Media, Arena Multimedia, Frameboxx Animation & VFx, Networxx, TMI Academy of Travel & Hospitality, iProf Learning and Picasso Animation College.

Being a Character Designer and Animator himself, he passionately believes that the Indian Media and Entertainment industry has the potential to challenge and succeed in the highly competitive Global M&E segment if it is able to continuously infuse cutting-edge technology with creativity & original content creation. Under his present capacity Mohit is working towards the mandate to create 11.74 lakhs skilled workforce by 2022 and contribute to the National Skill Mission of creating 500 million skilled work-force by 2022.
